Akrapovič is celebrating 30 years since its inception, and to mark this important occasion the Slovenian high-performance exhaust manufacturer has launched a very limited edition of 30 pieces of this exclusive exhaust for the Ferrari F8 Tributo.

The Evolution Line (Titanium) 30th Anniversary* exhaust system for the Ferrari F8 Tributo will feature in the company’s portfolio as a unique exhaust to mark the 30th anniversary celebration and each one will be individually engraved with a special Akrapovič 30 years logo and its own serial number to show its authenticity and rarity. This exclusivity will be further enhanced with a special certificate, adding greater value to its singular significance.

Akrapovič has an impressive race heritage and has used its involvement in the highest echelons of two- and four-wheel racing to develop innovative race-proven solutions and ground-breaking product development over the last 30 years. It is this experience and knowledge that has gone into the construction of this unique exhaust for a special car.

The main part of the system with a central muffler has been constructed from high-grade lightweight titanium. The link pipes are made from Inconel, and complex parts such as the titanium housing of the exhaust valves and titanium tail pipe’s outer shell, plus parts of the Inconel link pipes, are cast in Akrapovič’s in-house foundry. The heat insulation is made from titanium and each link pipe contains a 300 cpsi catalytic converter. The two tailpipes are a combination of a cast titanium shell, which is then mechanically machined, and an inner one made using CMC (Ceramic Matrix Composite). This ultra-light material, approximately 50% lighter than titanium, is regularly used in extreme racing and aerospace solutions because it can withstand intensely high peak temperatures of 1,000 °C, making it an ideal material for the hot gases emitted from high-performance exhausts and engines. The application of CMC provides an impactful appearance that confirms the material’s technological and racing heritage.

An exhaust using such advanced elements during its creation also has to perform, and the Evolution Line (Titanium) 30th Anniversary definitely meets that criterion. It weighs in at 7.7 kg (28.8%) less than the standard stock system, due to the use of lightweight race-proven materials. It also produces a stunning sound via the application of two valves – one on each side of the link pipe – which tailor the gas flow to produce a deep, racing tone fully befitting the car’s V8 twin-turbocharged 3.9-litre engine. Performance power is increased by an extra 13.2 kW (17.9 hp) at 5,650 rpm, with a torque gain of 33.6 Nm at 2,400 rpm. These figures were obtained in back-to-back runs on the Akrapovič dyno against a Ferrari F8 Tributo using a standard stock exhaust. This system is also equipped with an Akrapovič Sound Kit that allows control of the sound from the cockpit, enabling the occupants of the car to easily switch between the quiet mode and a sportier tone using the Sound Remote Controller, which opens and closes the exhaust valves, providing a fuller and more involved experience. Due to the nature of the exhaust system remapping is recommended and it is designed for use on closed course competition circuits and venues.

The Evolution Line (Titanium) 30th Anniversary exhaust system for the Ferrari F8 Tributo is a comprehensive work of art that perfectly demonstrates Akrapovič’s knowledge and expertise garnered and grown over the past 30 years.
