This product is designed to increase the performance potential of the Akrapovič Slip-On Line (Titanium) exhaust system. It is constructed from high-grade lightweight titanium. The system is 18.2 kg (63.5%) lighter than the standard stock exhaust. Installation removes the stock OPFs or secondary set of catalytic converters on non-OPF vehicles.

When combined with the Slip-On Line (Titanium), it offers power and torque gains of 25.8 kW (35.0 hp) and 47.7 Nm, respectively, both at 5,150 rpm, when tested on the Akrapovič dyno against a BMW XM Label with an M exhaust system. A special X-connection – cast in the in-house foundry – allows gases from both sides of the engine to mix for an enhanced sporty sound.

For OPF vehicles remapping the ECU is mandatory to prevent potential check engine light warning signals. For non-OPF vehicles ECU remapping is not needed.

This part has been developed for use on closed-course competition circuits only. With the installation of the Evolution Link Pipe Set (Titanium), the EC/ECE type approval for the Slip-On Line (Titanium) is no longer valid.

EVOLUTION LINE

Evolution Line exhaust systems are usually based on the Slip-On Line system, with additional link pipes. The Evolution Line helps deliver even more power and torque, unique resonant sound as well as weight reductions. These exhaust systems are available with a range of exquisite tailpipes in either carbon fibre or titanium. Evolution performance exhaust systems usually include mufflers, link pipes and resonators that run from the stock down pipes back. These link pipes can feature larger-than-stock-diameter tubing and cast titanium flanges. Selected versions have EC/ECE type approval.
