Testing Facilities

At Akrapovic we use several different computer-controlled and advanced benches that help us develop the best possible exhaust system for each specific motorcycle and recently, also sport cars.

We rely on four Superflow Dyno bench desks, of which three are for motorcycles and one for sports cars as well as one Maha bench desk with an additional Horiba measuring device for exhaust gas emissions measurements.

They allow us to perform tests safely in a controlled environment and collect invaluable data.

We can measure up to 300 HP on each bench desk.

We can control the temperature, pressure, air flow and fuel flow, and are able to get correct as well as comparable information about power and torque.

With the use of Maha Dyno that is connected to our Horiba measuring device, we can also precisely measure exhaust gas emissions, which is an extremely important step in the production of street legal exhaust systems nowadays.

Flowbench

Flowbench

The computer-controlled SF-1020 flowbench is SuperFlow's most advanced, most powerful flowbench. As it is designed for demanding engineers and professional racers, it can measure and record air flow at the OEM engineering accuracy.

Car bench desk

We use the 42-inch roll, four-wheel-drive AutoDyn, which is the highest capacity chassis dynamometer.

Torque is measured with a temperature-compensating load cell for precise torque and power readings. It enables us to run a variety of built-in vehicle tests, including single-gear or all-gear tests at wide open throttle, controlled acceleration, controlled deceleration, step, steady-state, aero load, and drive cycle tests. The steady-state and drive cycle tests can be performed at full or partial throttle settings.

Car bench desk

Sensors constantly monitor and measure the data from the AutoDyn. Additionally, we benefit from temperature measurements, pressure measurements, and air/fuel monitoring.

We can measure up to 1500 HP on our car bench desk.

Noise measurements

Noise measurements

With state-of-the-art-isolated chambers and high-tech measuring equipment, we can precisely develop exhaust systems that meet even the most strict noise emissions regulations.
