Temperature Test
One of many tests which determine the fate of an Akrapovic prototype
Akrapovic is dedicated to producing exhaust systems of exceptionally high quality, which is one of the most important features which our systems are renowned for. Our systems are developed and manufactured according to strict quality criteria. Each prototype must endure severe performance, durability and temperature testing.
To give you a better idea of how extreme these tests are, we present the temperature test, which is best understood in pictures.
We tested the latest Yamaha prototype model MT-01, for which we had the honor of developing an Akrapovic EVOLUTION complete and SLIP-ON partial exhaust system for Yamaha additional performance kits. As you can see from the photos, we weren’t soft on the bike or the exhaust system. The temperature of the header tubes can exceed 800ºC. Despite the rigorousness of the testing, we know that the best way to test our exhaust systems, like all other moto components, is out on the track in racing conditions.
