Laboratory

Development of new materials is of key importance to our Company, since our success is closely tied to the use of state-of-the-art materials available in the industry. Close business relationships with suppliers of titanium and other materials used in production processes, make exclusivity in development possible.

Material testing laboratory 1

Our success is guaranteed by the contemporarily equipped laboratory, which is divided into two subdivisions: Material Testing Laboratory and Measuring Laboratory. This is the only way for us to stay a step ahead of the competition – with regard to used materials as well as final product quality.

Material testing laboratory

Material testing laboratory

In the modern equipped metallurgical laboratory we are checking and evaluating all major material properties, and offering support for the titanium casting facility, production and R&D activities.

With regular control and continues evaluations of new advanced materials on the market, we are ensuring a higher quality standards of our final products.

Chemical analysis

Controlling the chemical compositions and gas content of titanium, stainless steel and aluminum alloys.

Controlling the gas content especially in titanium castings is crucial for the quality of casted parts. We can measure as low as 1-5ppm (parts per million) oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen gas content in titanium and steel alloys.

Mechanical properties evaluation

Hardness and micro-hardness measurements, tensile properties, plastic properties and formability determinations are done on regularly basis for all incoming and new materials, so we are assuring the quality and use of the most appropriate materials in our various applications and products.

Metallographic evaluations

Complete metallographic sample preparation, for defect cracks checking, microstructure checking and weld quality evaluations ensures better understanding of the materials and helps us to better control technology processes and parameters such as welding, bending, forming etc.

Measuring laboratory

Temperature and humidity levels in the laboratory are closely monitored, since that is the only way to ensure accuracy of the measuring equipment.

In our measuring laboratory we conduct prototype, exhaust system, and casting measurements. The equipment is so accurate that it allows us to also measure control devices for the needs of the company. We perform measurements using the Zeiss Contura scanning machine, the GOM Atos IIe measuring camera, the Romer Sigma scanning arm, and other measuring equipment that is available in the laboratory.

We often find ourselves in a position of having to conduct measurements on a motorcycle or automobile. In such cases, we use the Romer mobile scanning arm which offers accurate measurements as well as mobility and simple use.

Measuring laboratory

3D coordinate measuring

For the most accurate 3D measurements we use the Zeiss CONTURA G2 CMM coordinate scanning technology with a scanning area of: X = 1000 mm, Y = 2100 mm, Z = 600 mm.

No-contact optical measuring

For measuring, quality control, but mostly for reverse engineering we use the Atos optical system, with which we digitalize even the most complex shapes in an exceptionally short period of time.

The system offers a very clear comparison between the mathematical model and the product’s measurements.

The measuring camera records 1.4 million data pixles per second!
