Once again, BMW Motorrad Days delivered three days of superb entertainment over the 4th of July weekend. The show’s 2014 edition transformed Garmisch-Partenkirchen into a high-powered meeting place for over 35,000 BMW Motorrad fans, confirming its status of the not-to-be-missed event on the calendar of dedicated moto enthusiasts.

For the 8th year in a row, Akrapovič participated in the event with a stand that featured a selection of systems in our signature titanium, as well as the stunning R 1200 GS and S 1000 R BMW bikes. We also showcased an exhaust system for the BMW M5, becoming one of the few exhibitors to display a car exhaust system at a motorbike event. The outstanding design and unmistakable sound of Akrapovič stirred a lot of interest among the show attendees, and so our team was very busy answering questions from curious onlookers and experienced bikers alike. Besides a selection of high-quality products specifically developed for the BMW market, the Akrapovič stand also presented VIP guests who had visitors pouring in for autographs and pictures with their favorite bike celebrities.

Stunt legend Chris Pfeiffer honored us with his company at the stand despite recently suffering an injury that unfortunately prevented him from performing his usual daring stunts. Valerie Thompson, the experienced rider who recently joined the prestigious ECTA 200 MPH Club by shattering the Ohio Mile speed record, visited the Akrapovič stand as well for a thrilling meet-and-greet session. The star of the stand was definitely Željan Rakela, a charismatic world traveller who conquered an incredible 210,000 km trek on his Akrapovič-equipped bike. Rakela’s exciting adventures sparked wanderlust in the audience as he exposed all the intricate details of his faraway travels that took him from the hottest deserts to extremely cold mountain tops across five continents. Other highlights from this year's BMW Motorrad Days include heart-stopping Motodrom and daredevil stunts performed in the main arena. The bravest visitors had the chance to test the latest BMW bikes at the nearby mountain tracks, while the less adventurous ones only observed the adrenaline-packed action. As for the Akrapovič team, we’re already looking forward to next year’s BMW Motorrad Days!
