Lorenzo’s M3 Roars through an Akrapovič Exhaust
27. July 2012
The current leader in the MotoGP championship also uses an Akrapovič exhaust system for his private life on four wheels.

If Yamaha made (sports) cars, Jorge Lorenzo would probably drive the same brand car to the store and post office as his racing bike for the MotoGP. Since that’s not the way it is, for a racer like Lorenzo the logical choice is the BMW M3. In addition to their sporty character, the Japanese YZR-M1 and the Bavarian M3 have something else in common: the Akrapovič factory produces exhaust systems for both. So it makes sense for this motorcycle star to install a titanium Akrapovič product with carbon end caps on his car.

Two different systems are available for the M3: the basic Slip-On and the Evolution, which enhances the M3 engine with a full 22 hp and 35 Nm of torque while reducing the car’s weight by 24 kg at the same time. The more impressive sound is also a given. Jorge, have fun!
