HM Plant Honda rider Ryuichi Kiyonari became the 2006 Bennetts British Superbike Champion at the famous Kent circuit of Brands Hatch after a win and a second place finish aboard his Michelin-shod Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade. The 24-year-old is the first Japanese rider to win the British Championship and in doing so brings home the coveted British title for the manufacturer for the first time in twenty years (source: HM Plant Honda press release).
