The last two races of the 2006 MotoGP season featured appearances by the Ilmor SRT team, which took points in both races with the 800cc Ilmor X3 machine ridden by Garry McCoy! The team is planning to run the Ilmor X3, which is equipped with Akrapovic exhaust systems, in every race of the 2007 season, when the elite MotoGP class moves to 800 cubic centimeter engines.
