Tommy Hill takes three wins and 75 new points, increasing his lead in the overall standings.
Tommy Hill (Swan Yamaha) was unstoppable in the sixth round of the British Superbike Championship. He won Saturday’s race and both of Sunday’s races, taking the maximum possible points and increasing his lead in the overall standings.
The twenty-seven-year-old Hill was ecstatic following his sensational racing weekend: “To have won three races was fantastic as it was my first hat-trick in the series. It’s just great to come out on top but now I have a flight to catch to get out to Suzuka. I didn’t ease up in the last race as I definitely had a target on my back as they all wanted to beat me. They kept me honest out there and I had to ride as hard as I could across the whole weekend but I was determined and it’s great to head to my home round at Brands Hatch carrying this momentum.”
At the season’s halfway point Tommy Hill, who rides a Yamaha YZF-R1 with an Akrapovič exhaust system, is 28 points ahead of his nearest challenger, Josh Brookes.
