Akrapovič, the leading replacement performance exhaust manufacturer, attended the 15th annual European Bike Week (4-9 September) held at Faaker See, Austria and wowed the claimed 100,000 visitors with a stunning display of its Custom range of exhausts and exclusive one-off customisation projects.
European Bike Week is Europe’s largest motorcycle social gathering organised by Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) Europe. It is based around the shore of Lake Faaker See in the Kärnten region of Austria and is where an estimated 60,000 motorcycles coursed along local roads during the six day event – an event where motorcyclists of all genres get together to relax, talk bikes, shop for accessories and listen to live bands.
Headlining the Akrapovič display were three major customisation projects from leading European custom houses, and all featuring one-off Akrapovič exhaust systems to create unique machines, including the new
Benchmark with Walz Hardcore Cycles, the
VRSC 1250 Custom Supercharged with Strada Bikewerk and the award-winning
Morsus with Dreamachine Motorcycles. These machines served as tasters to an array of rapidly growing Akrapovič Custom Range of exhausts designed specifically for Harley-Davidson machinery.
The Akrapovič
Custom Range debuted in 2011 and has grown considerably in the space of eighteen months. Created for Harley-Davidson motorcycles, Akrapovič exhausts are available for five different families within the brand: Dyna; Touring; V-Rod; Sportster and Softail.
Akrapovič is globally renowned for pushing the boundaries of exhaust design to create systems that deliver quality and performance like no other. In 2012 the Slovenian company has launched many new systems for prestige custom motorcycles such as the
Harley-Davidson V-Rod Muscle and Night Rod Special, along with the new Black Slip-On Line silencers for the
Fat Boy and Fat Boy Lo.
