The a-workx Akrapovič team and its Porsche 911 GT3 R missed the podium at the Nürburgring in Germany by just a hair.

Crew drivers Sebastian Asch and Michael Ammermüller started the first race on this famed German racecourse from an outstanding third position, which Ammermüller maintained up until the last lap, when he was forced to yield to their competitor driving a Mercedes SLS AMG GT3. The Mercedes and Lamborghini racecars proved to be too tough to beat in the second race as well; Asch and Ammermüller finished the race in eleventh place.
