Performance
The Evolution system delivers an increase of 14 horsepower and 28 Nm/21 lbs-ft of torque while also increasing throttle response. The increases in horsepower start at 1,500 rpm and continue all the way to redline. This is all achieved without removing the catalytic converters. The most dramatic improvement is in the sound. The Akrapovič exhaust transforms the car from being “mild mannered” into a true GT1 racer with a deep tone and aggressive sound. This is all possible without introducing any droning or harshness that would ruin the driving experience. By maintaining the “dual-mode” exhaust valves, the low speed sound is only slightly louder and deeper than stock, but at higher revs the true character of the big American V8 can be heard. We also offer a very trick wireless kit that allows for full control of the “dual-mode” valves right at your fingertips. It is a small controller that plugs into your cigarette lighter port and is virtually no larger than the lighter it replaces. With a single press of the button you can have the valves open at all times for maximum racing sound. One more press and the system reverts back to its standard “dual-mode.”
