Do you offer only complete exhaust systems or also mufflers?

Which materials do you use in the production of exhaust systems?

Due to our extensive experience from motorcycle and automobile races and access to exclusive ‘high grade XT’ titanium, but mainly because of the excellent characteristics of this material, we use mainly titanium. Our exhaust systems are made using state-of-the-art technology and manual craftsmanship of our welders. All welding is done in accordance with the TIG procedure, the only one that ensures the maximum strength of the weld and an aesthetic appearance. To cope with market demand we also offer a limited number of stainless steel systems.

What is the weight saving and power increase by installing an Akrapovic exhaust system?

Weight saving can run up to 50% compared with original system while power and torque show significant increases.  For more detail please check the dedicated webpage for the systems that suit your car.

Do I need to change the ‘mapping’ if I install an Akrapovic exhaust?

Akrapovic Slip On systems do not require any ECU remapping but for some Evolution systems, which are in fact not developed for street usage, it is recommendable to remap the ECU in order to avoid Check Engine Light and increase performance even more.

How does an Akrapovic exhaust sound like?

Our engineers make sure every Akrapovic system delivers a perfect sound experience.  Some of our systems feature an adjustable, and even wireless in most cases, sound output level.

Are Akrapovic systems equipped with catalysts?

Yes, Akrapovic Evolution systems, with the exception of some racing applications, keep the original fitted catalysts intact either replace them by high-flow catalysts, of premium brand only, to achieve maximum performance without neglecting the environment.  Check the relevant system product page to found out more.

Will the installment of an Akrapovic car system affect the manufacturer’s vehicle warranty?

Our systems are built to the highest quality standards that match or exceed car manufacturer standards.  Therefore manufacturer warranty cannot exclude damage if not directly related to the installment of one of our systems.  On top of that please feel reassured that with your purchase comes the Akrapovic 2 year warranty policy including coverage of any (engine) damage that may directly occur from using a street legal Akrapovic car exhaust system.
